Jan Kašpar Hirschely (1695 – 1743)

Flower Still Life, 1742, oil on panel, signed and dated lower left JCH 1742, the reverse bears labels of the National Gallery in Prague, an exhibition stamp of Galerie Dr. Feigl, and a label of the Regional Gallery Liberec, further marked with a label of the Waldes Picture Gallery, dimensions of the painting 29.5 × 21 cm, overall dimensions including the frame: 49 × 40.5 cm


Provenance: The painting originates from the renowned Waldes Picture Gallery; confiscated by the Gestapo in 1939, subsequently deposited in the collections of the National Gallery in Prague, and restituted to the heirs of the industrialist Jindřich Waldes in 1996.


Exhibited: In 1936, this painting was exhibited at Galerie Dr. Feigl.
