Zdeněk Kunst (*1955)
Window with a Curtain, 2025, fused crystal, cut and polished, signed Z. Kunst, overall dimensions 35 × 31 × 5 cm.
Author’s words: The inspiration for this sculpture came from an old window in which a fabric curtain was billowing in a draft. I found this motif very appealing and it invited interpretation in glass. In its processing, I made use of the rounded lines of the flowing curtain in harmony with the curved shape of the window. In this sculpture, the color transitions from a dark to a light shade of glass also stand out effectively.
