Zdeněk Kunst (*1955)

Porta, 2025, fused crystal, cut and polished, signed Z. Kunst, overall dimensions 34 × 36 × 6 cm.

Author’s words:The object represents a gateway into an unknown, mysterious space. Beyond it we may discover surprising and joyful worlds, but also emptiness and disappointment. Porta thus forms a threshold between the environment we know and what is yet to be discovered. The dark blue color emphasizes the sense of mystery. The slanted side walls of the entrance invite us to step inside and awaken a desire for discovery.
